Before You Begin: Application Instructions

Thank you for your interest in applying to the College of Podiatric Medicine Summer Enrichment Workshop. This year’s workshop will take place July 17-19 on the Oakland Campus of Samuel Merritt University. Participation in all three days is required.


Before you begin your application, please carefully read the following information and instructions.


Contact and Demographic Information

All of the information you include in your application is confidential and used only by the Office of Admission for statistical and recruitment purposes. Emergency contact information is required in case of an emergency taking place while you are on campus. Contact information is not shared with any other departments on campus or third party agencies. Demographic information that you provide (not required) is only used for statistical purposes.


Personal Statement

Please attach a statement of 500 words or less describing why you are interested in the CPM Experience: Summer Enrichment Program and what you hope to gain from the experience.


Unofficial Transcripts

Obtain unofficial transcripts from all colleges/universities attended since high school. It is not necessary to get official transcripts for this purpose. Simply downloading a copy of your academic record from your schools student portal is sufficient. Please merge transcripts together into one document before uploading into the application.


Recommendation Form

One letter of recommendation is required to be submitted directly to the College of Podiatric Medicine from the person providing the recommendation. The recommendation form is available here. Please instruct your reference to complete the evaluation and return via email to:
